And here are some more from their list of recommended titles on Evangelism and Missions:
Nearly twenty years ago, the faculty of the Criswell College published a little document called “Beginning Your Theological Library.” The preface included this statement:
The faculty of the Criswell College has created this bibliography for the Bible expositor who desires guidance in building a theological library. If you are starting your library, these titles are recommended as your first purchases. But, even if you have already accumulated a substantial number of volumes, you will want to check your library catalogue against this suggested list to see what important titles your library might be missing.
I am sure that the current faculty of the Criswell College would have some different recommendations, and that in the ensuing two decades a number of important works have been published that are not on the list. However, as I glance through this bibliography I believe that it is still a pretty good starting place. So, over the next few days I will be posting some of the books from the various categories.
The following texts were either required or recommended by Dr. Robert Bernard for his class on Beginning Theological Latin at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary during the Fall Term 2006.
